1. We have the right to delete any post, video, chat, or information from our app. Although you can delete them, they remain in Facebook's database and are, therefore, obtainable. 

2. We have the right to tell users of Facebook how we access and analyze your data and to what extent it is used.

3. We have the right to inform the user of their safety features within the app. This also includes the amount of time spent on the app.

4. We have the right to keep users from harming others on Facebook. Accessible help on the apps provides users with more information.

5. We have the right to tell the users how important it is to protect themselves from social media. There will be a list of simple guidelines to follow about one's interaction of their presence in the digital world.

One way I control my digital presence is by how others perceive me online, such as friends, family, and colleagues. For example, in this module, I set up a LinkedIn account where I put up my past job experiences to connect with employers. LinkedIn is a social media tool that collects data from user profiles to deliver data-driven insight into patterns that help match workforce supply with global demand to politicians, businesses, employees, and educators (Hanna, 2022). It has ultimately changed the way of the traditional recruitment process. This social media tool is beneficial for job searching and is a great way to present yourself in a professional and approachable manner. It is a networking tool to which “recruiters are searching LinkedIn profiles for specific skill sets for job openings they know about and are working to fill. Candidates can change their personal profiles to reflect that they are open to new positions or seeking a new job” (McCabe, 2017b). Being able to present myself to the outside professional world can help control the way of my digital presence. LinkedIn is one of the leading social media platforms I use and will continue to use in my career and the future.  

Not only can I present myself on LinkedIn, but I can also use infographics on my platforms to enhance my digital presence. Infographics can be a valuable resource in today's competitive industry, helping visually identify persons (Lee & Cavanaugh, 2016). They can help tell a story or provide information from a different insight. I have learned that infographics are a potent tool allowing people to readily absorb information using visual data, charts, and statistics. Making infographics was a new tool for me, so seeing how I could express my 'digilife' component was exciting and valuable. Infographics are also a tool that can help me be more creative in communicating my knowledge and insights to others. This is especially helpful when I apply for jobs, as providing a visual representation of myself can help me stand out from my other employers.

Another important way I can control my digital presence is by understanding the privacy policies within my social media tools. Sometimes when I am online, I don’t feel the need to pay attention to the privacy rules because they are lengthy and challenging to comprehend. The importance of privacy policies, however, much outweighs the attention given to them: These contracts, which include legally enforceable agreements between website owners and their visitors, are transparent, which presents problems for policymakers and Internet users (Wilson et al., 2016). After writing my privacy policy for Facebook, it made me realize what a privacy policy really is. I made my privacy policy in a language so that someone younger than me could read it. Understandability is a key component that will help people, especially the younger generation, to be more aware of their privacy policies by understanding them in a language that is right for them.

Privacy should only be an individual's area; neither governments nor corporations can interfere without consent (Fip, 2022). I should be able to control what I read, see, and post to the outside digital world in my digital presence by reviewing one's privacy policy. Data privacy policies are vital for complying with various privacy regulations and defining expectations with website users. They will provide the whereabouts of my data, why they are collecting it, and how they may contact me if they have any questions or issues. 

Peer Scholar is the last tool essential for representing my digital presence. Getting feedback from my peers is one of the many ways I can improve my learning. Not only does it give me a different perspective, but it also makes me aware of how to present my knowledge. Peer Scholar is a great digital tool to help others assess your assignments. This is another excellent resource on how digital tools can help the greater community. By participating in Peer Scholar, I use my digital presence to assist others' work and vice versus. Throughout this module, I have learned a great deal about digital presence, especially knowing how you are perceived online and how to keep your private information safe. As we come to the end of the semester, I can take my new learning capabilities and use them in my academic and professional future.
