Often I talk to parents about connecting children’s feelings and emotions to books to help support the message of how they can work through these big feelings. It not only gives child ideas and concepts to think about but also parents who may need help with their emotions too.

At UniSA, in our Early Years Initial Teacher Education programs we have informed student teachers' understanding of the importance of early brain development, so it was awesome to see the Centre for the Developing Child research being used in Words Grow Minds to build parents' awareness of the serve and return nature of parent-baby interactions! I will encourage our next generation of Early Childhood Teacher and Educators to engage with this training to reinforce the consistency of the MGM message as they go out into schools, centres and services to support families

I work in childcare. We have already started to deliver the key messages on our socials regularly to build on their knowledge. I am planning on making a display in my centre to once again highlight the key messages of the campaign and their importance for children's brain development. I will add an example of the resource pack too show families what is available. I will also link families to outside services that can provide the pack and also help support them in taking part with their children. We already talk to families about their children's development but I want to also deliver these messages to families individually

I'm also excited to incorporate Words Grow Minds into our parenting education groups - making sessions practical and fun, but most importantly enhancing the potential of the wonderful little people with work with!

Adults' connection & acknowledgement of & engagement with technology may support children to report uncomfortable & unsafe online interactions to the responsible adults in family

2 Conversational tun-taking and it's links to brain-building - discuss the importance of everyday interactions in family spaces

I work in children's programming for a public library. We have always had a focus on reading and song in early childhood development, through this program I am developing new ways to incorporate Talk and Play; including obstacle courses and show and tell at the library. We love the Words Grow Minds campaign, the song plays on our children's TV a few times a day and always prompts staff and our regular children to stop and have a dance and a sing along.
