This is the fallacy of bandwagon. Bandwagon means to quickly and suddenly be apart of something because you believe everyone else is doing it to. You don't want to be the only one not doing it so because everyone else seems to be doing it, you jump on board. Tis Nike ad with its slogan "Just Do It. Everyone else did." just shows that they are basically telling you to buy their product because everyone wears Nike, which is true. Their advertising makes you want to buy their product because they know you know that everyone wear Nike.

Maddie Gorrie Period 2 As shown in the advertisement, there are two options that the audience is given which makes it an either or fallacy. Many people claim testing on animals is abusive and chemical testing should not be done, but at the same time, no one wants their child to be poisoned or become sick due to something that was put in a product a family may purchase. Many either or fallacies force the audience to feel guilty since inside, a person may know the right decision that must be made, but something makes them feel as though they are not being civil. In the researchsaves.org advertisement, the speaker wants the audience to be put in a difficult situation. People cannot resist the cute face of the little girl, but the image of the mouse disgusts most people. This either or fallacy makes the audience agree to doing tests and research on animals in order to save the lives of people.

This Advertisement from Maybelline uses the Bandwagon fallacy strongly. To Bandwagon it means to use persuasive techniques and a not so harsh type of propaganda through which a creator persuades the consumers, so that majority could agree with the argument. In this case the creators are Maybelline and the consumers are people who wear mascara/makeup. By the ad saying "America's favorite mascara !", it's referring that all of America is for this particular product and we should be too. It also displays the quote " No wonder one is sold every 1.7 seconds", and by saying that, that is saying it sells well or that it's selling fast so get yours before ot is too late.

This Axe Chocolate Body Spray ad is an example of the logical fallacy Hasty Generalization. It goes under the general assumption that all women love chocolate. Which on a wide scale yes, women love chocolate yet its not the case for women everywhere. This logical fallacy helps with the advertisements argument that women drift towards the scent of chocolate, so you should get the axe body spray to have women gravitate to you.

This ad is an example a scare tactic. The primary audience is students in college because they are about to graduate after years of hard work in school. The scare tactic is used by inflicting fear by saying it only takes one time to get drunk and drive and get into an accident. It also says if they do die from driving under the influence then they won't even make it to their own graduation that they worked so hard for.

They display celeberities endorsing their products to make their audience think that if this popular celebrity uses it as well, so will they. The try to make their product seem like you will be smelling just as good just like them and that you will seem cooler and edgier with the product.
