Goats can be fed just before keepers leave and given browse to pick at during the evening/night.

Often primate species that aren't housed together can have sleeping chambers where they can see each other, to encourage interactions at night time.

Boring routines:
In small zoos, routines may vary as different keepers will be in and do jobs in different orders, which can stop animals from showing expectant behaviours.

Boring enclosures:
For meerkats, safe seasonal decorations can reduce boredom such as pumpkins at Halloween and eggs at Easter. (This works best for species that use their claws a lot to manipulate objects)

Green iguanas can have a range of plants accessable to them and by changing or replanting different plants, they can explore new scents, textures and climbing spaces. (This would not work as well for more terrestrial species)

Green iguanas can be given large swimming pools during the summer to help them cool off and encourage swimming. (Not suitable for none aquatic species)

- Gerbil running on a spinning wheel whilst an effective method of improving the body conditioning score. can become a dependancy in terms of expresion of a stereotypical behaviour built up by a lack of enrichment and subsiquent boredom and frustration. Perhaps instad play into there love of problem solving and escaping by having a maze which u can alter to allow acses into difrent areas of the enclosures. to make the foreighn enviroment less stressful leave small almounts of substrate within tubes and mazes to utelise a gerbils olfactory marking reasuring the gerbil that its a freindly and safe domain.
