He was a true gem and a person with no haters. His full name was Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam. He was born in a middle-class Muslim family. Since the beginning of his days, he was a very hardworking and diligent person. In his early childhood, he helped his family to earn livelihood along with the studies. Being very intelligent and promising, he started his career and life soon. After completing his graduation, he joined the defense department to serve the nation. And from there the journey of the famous scientist started to a never-ending tale of success. He was one of the various scientists in India who worked for the development of nuclear power. For his work, he also earned various awards and prizes.

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru the first prime minister of India was a central figure in Indian politics before and after independence. With Mahatma Gandhi, he paved the road for Indian independence. His father Motilal Nehru was a prominent lawyer, an activist in Indian Independence Movement and a very important leader of Indian national congress.

Jawaharlal Nehru was graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge and Inner Temple (The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, commonly known as Inner Temple, is one of the four Inns of Court in London), where he was trained as a barrister. After coming back to India he joined Allahabad High Court. With time his interest shifted to national politics.

By 1920, he became a prominent leader in Indian National Congress. In 1929 Jawaharlal Nehru called for Complete Independence from British Rule. During this time Muslims League under the leadership of Muhammad Ali Jinnah also gained popularity and demand for the separate Muslim country also rose. The power struggle between Nehru and Jinnah resulted in two countries and a deadly massacre of partition in 1947.

During his prime ministerial period, he drove India towards plural, secular, republic. He took the leading role in the Non-Aligned Movement. Under Nehru, Congress won three consecutive elections in 1952, 1957 and 1962. After the failure in the 1962 Sino-Indian War his health started declining. He died on 27th May 1964 due to a heart attack. He will be always remembered for his contribution.

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam is a famous name in the whole world. He is counted among the greatest scientists of the 21st century. Even more, he becomes the 11th president of India and served his country. He was the most valued person of the country as his contribution as a scientist and as a president is beyond compare. Apart from that, his contribution to the ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) is remarkable. He headed many projects that contributed to the society also he was the one who helped in the development of Agni and Prithvi missiles. For his involvement in the Nuclear Power in India, he was known as “Missile Man of India”. And due to his contribution to the country, the government awarded him with the highest civilian award.

He is the 11^th president of India. He had done his schooling from Schwartz Higher Secondary School and then completed B.Sc. from St. Joseph College, Tiruchirappalli. Later Kalam extended his qualification by completing Aerospace Engineering from Madras Institute of Technology. He joined DRDO (Defense research and development organization) as a scientist in 1958 and in 1963 he joined ISRO. His contribution to the development of world-class missiles Agni, Prithvi, Akash etc for India is remarkable. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam has been crowned with Bharat Ratna, Padma Bhushan, Ramanujan award, Padma Bibhushan and many other awards. Unfortunately, we lost this great scientist on 27^th July 2015.
