Technology in AG Education

I am often frustrated and concerned with the use of technology in the Ag classroom. Everyone pushes for more technology but when it comes to the nitty gritty of it, no one really knows what to do. The people in charge automatically assume that technology just means you use computers to doo all of the classwork in your class and you use google docs to submit assignments but by definition technology means "the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes". if we assume that this just means computers or online education then our students are not going to go far in life. Learning technology could be showing students to Artificialy inseminate cattle, repair a gas engine, program a CNC machine, learn the practical purposes of a drone in Agriculture(of which there are many), and even learn how to use some new industry tools. technology does not stop with just the average desktop computer. Here is an example of the use of GPS technology in equipment used for planting. this is the kind of stuff our students need to be learning about.

I agree that technology should not stop with the average desktop computer. Below is a link that would be useful in an AG class, it shows several videos about the different careers available in agriculture.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAwG_6tq3uU&list=PL7B61381EE0438243

There are so many different applications of technology, and due to limited resources in our schools, we are limited to the desktop.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyDhrmkYMVA
