Henceforth, the main group of characters should flee from Eden Mills to increase their chance of survival for various reasons. Those reasons include the fact that the town's supplies are running low and it is clearly not safe to continue residing in this town. This significant decision would affect the outcome and destiny of the characters. By leaving Eden Mills, they can rebuild their lives together and overcome the obstacle that is the power outage.

More importantly perhaps the strongest argument in favor is that the main group of characters would be better off if they abandoned the neighborhood of Eden Mills since of the overall lowering quantity of supplies and difficultness of keeping every single person of Eden Mills alive .For instance the book tells us ,"How could things get so bad, so fast ?''(from page 149)This quote implies that the disaster has brought out the bad in the people , and in the time that has been less than 2 weeks the neighborhood has become a place of havoc, where people who are desperate for food ,water , and supplies will to the point ,hurt people and break out in riots to rob stores and people's property . Without the rest of the people of Edens Mills the group would have a greater chance of surviving since they are less people and they wont waste the food, water and supplies as fast as if the whole town was with them .

Even though my opponent may have a valid point about the town's little chance of surviving drastically being lowered and the number of people dying increasing, if the main group of characters suddenly abandon Eden's Mills to seek more skillful people with talents to go with them , but what my opponent may have not realized about their claim is that sure if the main group of characters stays and helps ,they will help most people, but those who do not have any beneficial use to the town will just be wasting their food , supplies ,water and will just serve as a bigger target. .Also , in the end only those with needed and important talents will survive .

The best thing that they could do is leave Eden Mills. Most people look up to them as help. Herb has all the supplies they need to survive. Everyone looks for them for help. I strongly believe that they would be better off leaving Eden Mills. they should leave Eden Mils because they need to think about surviving by themselves. Another good reason why leaving Eden mills is because their supplies are getting low and they need to plan on surviving. In the power outage its every man for himself. Everyone is on their own and need to think of strategies of how to survive on their own.
