The events challenge Dally because he has just got out of the hospital because he burnt his arm and now he is fighting in the rumble using his injured arm. We also learn that the only thing that johnny has ever wanted was for Dally to believe in him. I think that Dally will have to go back to the hospital for his arm and johnny is going to die.

we find out that dally really does care about johnny and that's johnny had ever wanted is for dally to be proud of him, and i think that's why johnny felt peaceful when he died. I think this changes his character because dally never really got emotional until now. I think johnny is going to stay dead because he died peacefully or in the next chapter they could try and save him.

Dally's character is challenged because Dally can't do nearly as much as before injuring his arm. I think Dally will be very upset because he will have to stay in the hospital or at least stay at home doing virtually nothing.

1. Because Dally is supposed to be the toughest one of the greasers who can take anything but when Johnny dies it challenges his toughness because he cares about Johnny.

I think this chapter changes him because he really was never emotional because he always wanted to be tuff but this chapter he is more emotional about johnny and he cares more. since Johnny died now I think he will go back to what he usually does and feel really bad because he thinks its his fault that johnny died.

The events change Dally because he just lost the only thing he ever really truly cared about. Johnny was the only thing he really loved and now Johnny's dead. I think Dally is going to do something stupid or something to blow off steam that is going to get him in lots of trouble.

He gets out of the hospital because of his arms then hes fighting in the rumble using his better arm and when johnny died it challenged dallys toughness.I think he may need to go back to the hospital to get is treated more to get it healed.

We know that dally has just gotten out of the hospital and he is fighting in the rumble because he only cared about beating the socs,but now that johnny is dying he cares about him and is proud of him and wants him to live.I think dally will go back to the same person he was drinking,smoking,and getting into jail now that johnny died because he feels like its his fault he died.

Dally was challenged in this chapter because he had a burnt arm but he still was able to fight in the rumble, and he showed that he was proud of johnny and that made johnny's eyes glow and that's all he ever wanted. To be appreciated by Dally.
I think Johnny will die, everyone will be devastated. I think mostly Dally will be upset the most about Johnny's death.

They show that, behind his cold and bitter facade, he's a kind guy and cares for Johnny.
I think Dally might get into trouble, or commit a crime in pure rage. He might kill someone or maybe himself. he's absolutely broken and devastated, and he's already a pretty violent guy in the first place so.. it's not impossible.

1)We figure out that dally actually cares and worries about johnny especially since he is in the hospital and usually he is strong and acts tough, and when they get to the hospital they figure out johnny is dying.
