Storm Chasers follow the storm in strong and reinforced trucks. They stay near, but mostly in the eye of the hurricane. They sometimes risk their lives to get in the eye! Once they are in the eye, they document their findings so, that the people on the news can show what it feels like to be in the storm. It is a dangerous job, but if you do it, you will get some memorable moments!

You can board up your windows to protect from flying debris . You can also stay inside if you can not evacuate the area. Always try to evacuate, but if you can't, make sure your house is as safe as it gets! If you live near the equator, you house should be ready for hurricanes because hurricanes form near the equator. If you live near the coast, you should have some stilts on your house in case there are powerful storm surges that can flood a house on sea level.
