These courses are relatively comprehensive for a teenager, rather advanced and rigorous.
The presentation is in a format of video-recorded lectures together with detail textbook-style notes for each lecture combined in a course by a hierarchical menu.

My name is Mark Mains and I am a lifetime member of WEA (WA State) Retired.

2) I was a delegate from Mukilteo EA to many NEA and WEA Rep Assemblies (6 or 7 I think?) before I left the Pacific Northwest to teach internationally in Guatemala. My spouse and I ended up buying a retirement home on Lake Atitlan. I subbed in Philly, where my spouse is from, during the pandemic and have returned here to teach until the end of the year and possibly look for a position in PD or Teaching and Learning either here or in the Seattle area next year. I returned to work at a public school called Nebinger near Philly's legendary South Street district and 2 blocks from the Italian Market! I teach 5th grade LA/SS, and am so pleased they were happy to welcome me back after a long-term 2nd grade sub position last year.

3) Global Citizen's are change agents who learn sustainability, live its principals, and teach/encourage it in others.

4) I am also a facilitator/certification reviewer for Compass Education, and teach sustainability through systems thinking. The Sustainability Compass is my favorite tool for getting students from 5 y.o. and up thinking and acting globally.

To me, being a global citizen is to consider that everything we do - how we live our lives every day - will have a greater impact on the world, even if it is not evident.
