Save energy by turning off the television and making sure you flick the light switch when you leave the room.
Buy energy-efficient appliances. Check the energy rating label when buying new or second hand electrical appliances. More stars mean less emissions.
Use environmentally friendly cleaning products. Phosporus (I think it's called that) in detergents increases nutrient loads in rivers and can cause dangerous results.
Never pour chemicals or fertilisers down the drain as they get washed into stormwater drains and into rivers or the ocean.
Start walking or riding to work or the shops instead of driving.

The next time I decide to purchase any sort of food, I will check to see where it was produced and buy the safest options. I will ~~decline~~ the plastic bags that the supermarket may give me and will bring my own reusable bag when shopping.

As a guy in relations with a group of farmers, I pledge to attempt at getting them to reduce their pesticide, insecticide and herbicide usage, as well as prevent them from removing trees in order to have more farmland. I will get them to remove any unhealthy soil habits they have and lastly, I will tell then to not use plastic for their packaging, or otherwise use minuscule amounts on all produce.

I will use my water, electricity, paper and plastic wisely and sparingly if needed. I will press my local council on building a water treatment plant. (maybe, I am unsure)

remove carpeting if possible!
use a dehumidifier and/or air conditioner to reduce moisture!
grow trees and other plants or foods organically!
keep our trash covered to avoid attracting pests

I think Green belts should be created. Such areas should be developed around densely populated cities. There should be strict restriction for establishment of large buildings and industries along the Green belt areas. Industrial areas should be located at a safe distance from the residential areas. Newly designed smoke free furnaces should be used.

I'll get my parents to use detergents or bleach minimally, and to use plastic only if essential. Stop leaving the lights on when they are not necessary/when you leave the room. Open windows instead of turning on the AC. Take shorter showers/5 minute showers. Don't litter/throw stuff on the floor; throw it in the bin.
