NCBI is a nation wide charity shop, it stands for National Council of the Blind of Ireland. There mission is to transform the life of those who are visually impaired. They work with both children and adults who are affected by the disability there programs aim to help them have confidence and live independently. The impact of there work is to help encourage and and empower people who are blind or visually impaired in all aspects of there lives. They have been set up since 1931 there values consist inclusivity, choice and excellence. They where the first volunteer group in the Irish free state that aim to help with people who have disabilities

All items clothes, homeware etc is all donated by the public St Vincent's don't buy their items from anywhere else.

Some of the staff that work there are volunteers while some are employed be the charity. Without the volunteers St Vincent's wouldn't be able to be open the hours and days that it is.

From the sales in the store they do the following:

They do home visits to assess the needs of the person and they give them vouchers for things like food or grands for education/school

There are 10 full time staff members in the shop, as well as some volunteers that help out.

When clothes aren’t bought they are either moved into a new shop and sold there, or recycled into new clothes

NCBI (Vision Ireland) is a charity shop located at O’Connells street , Waterford it is run only by volunteers. It’s open from 9am-5pm everyday. They only take clothes, no random things or anything electrical. Every Monday they get stock delivered from big labels. Their main goal is to make buying clothes more sustainable, by purchasing second hand clothes it is helping the environment as the old clothes don’t need to go to landfill. Over all the charity shop is very clean and full of lots of options they sell almost everything that’s on show including the window stock when the manager is in the shop.

St. Vincent de Paul gives a variety of aid to those less fortunate than us. They help vulnerable people through local offices, shops, resource centers, housing, day care and holiday centres. They have over 230 charity shops all over the country so that you can buy lightly used clothes for an extremely affordable price while also helping to fund an amazing cause.

All of our clothes were found in the Enable Ireland charity shop located at 89 The Quay Waterford where they have been based for 3 years. They were running out of a different shop in Waterford for almost 20 years previous and began in 1948. They get all their clothes from donations and 100% of the profits go into providing services to over 13,000 children and adults with disabilities and their families from over 40 locations in 14 counties.

At Newtwon Schools Fashion Show, Tadhg and Eric were our Models, Gosha was our MC, and Joe and Niall were our IT guys. We represented Vincent’s. Our Models were wearing full outfits from Vincent’s and presented themselves as lumberjacks. Our MC had a full suit from Vincent’s as well. The total cost for all three outfits was 87€.

I highly recommend Vincent’s for its cheap prices and good quality clothes.

I would say you getting your moneys worth and more.
