Your participants will divide a piece of paper into 5 sections. Just fold it or draw lines. You give them 5 categories, which they will write on the top of each section. Example: Cars, boy names, countries, animals, things in your house. Once the papers are ready and the categories are chosen, you start to play. Pick someone to start saying the alphabet kind of slow, and you will to stop them at some point before they end. As soon as you say stop, they stop and announce whatever the letter they stopped on. The participants then have 1 minute to write one thing in each category that starts with that letter. Let’s pretend the letter is T:Toyota, Tom, Thailand, tiger, toothpaste. Whoever finishes first says tutti-frutti! Then everyone stops writing. You would also stop if you run out of time even if no one says tutti-frutti. If the person who said tutti-frutti first has all 5 things, 5 points are awarded.
Then you check categories. Each word is 2 points unless someone else wrote the same word then it’s 1 point for everyone who used the same word. If no word was written, no points are awarded. You play with the same categories to try to earn 50 points as many rounds as it takes. Once someone reaches the 50 pints the game ended and they won. No letter is allowed for more than one round. Once the get the hang of it you can add more categories or if you are playing with older kids. It makes it harder to get points.
