I think that the moral of the story is to be grateful for what you have. I think this because the kids gave the snowman what made them warm, but he still needed more. When they finally gave him lots of things (Including ice cream), he was finally perfect. Without the things that the kids gave him, he would never have been the perfect snowman.
A connection that I made to the story is that sometimes I can be a little bit of a perfectionist. I try to make everything perfect and in order. It does not always work out though, but that is okay and it is not what matters.
As you can see, you should always be grateful for what you have instead of what you want.

But, each time that he does that the Snowman gets a new piece of Clothing. First it was a hat, then a scarf and finally a coat. Each time he got this he got warmer and warmer. Which meant when he got to his final piece of Clothing he would be nice and warm. When he was finally warm he got too warm. Then he was really hot. Sneezy was going to take all his new Clothes off! But the children had  a better idea! They got him ice cream so then he was just right! I think the moral of the story is to always take care of yourself and know what is right for your body. The snowman did not know that he was going to melt that was why they did not find out what would keep him warm. If he would have just known what is good for his body this would have been much easier!
