         <description><![CDATA[<div><em>Transfusions paved the way to save people's lives.<br></em>If a person has been in a car accident and needs blood to survive, a blood transfusion would give a boost to the individual's ability to live longer. This person now has a gateway to survive when confronted with what would have been inevitable death before the 16/17 Century.</div>]]></description>

This was until vaccines were invented, vaccines would allow people to be immune to an illness before the contracted it. Some of those diseases are smallpox, polio, coronavirus, rabies, the flu, heat stroke, and hypothermia. Technologies from back then are solely to thank for these treatments. Two of those technologies that we still use today to treat patients are vaccines and thermometers. </div>]]></description>

Think of all the people whos died because of a fire, and that leads me into transfusions. Transfusions are a necessity because if you did get burned, it may be internally. Without the creation of the Parsons Turbine then medical technology wouldn't exist. To explain, most vaccines and medicine need to be kept refrigerated. If the creation of the Parsons Turbine never happened it would've taken a longer amount of time to generate electricity, therefore medicine and vaccines wouldn't exist because there wouldn't be anything to keep the medicine refrigerated. </div>]]></description>

Blood transfusion is where one person donates blood to another person who really needs it. It helps people who have lost allot of blood regain some blood that they have lost.</div>]]></description>
