From kindergarten up to college and even in the workplace, it is always with us. In this photo, we portrayed different types of students during math class. The bored student who is not interested in the lessons and when the bell rings, she will be the first in line for breaktime. The one that is happy with the subject and enjoys it the most. The last one is the neutral type of student. They don't mind whether the lesson is hard or not. The only important thing for them is that they understand something.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>We found unity in Pi (e).<br><br></div><div>Since we are celebrating Mathematics Day on March 14, I came up with an idea that day should be "Pi Day" since the month "March" is number 3 in the sequence of the months, and the day specifically where the celebration would be held is on the 14th (which 3.14 is the value of pi). Pi is used to find the area and circumference of a circle. The circumference is divided by the diameter and produces the same value regardless of the radius.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Mathematics is like an abstract painting - for you to be able to see the beauty within, you must simulate yourself in it, as a single glance won’t do. A complicated artwork may be its facade, but deep within, the intrinsic meaning it conveys is much more beautiful than its exterior. The “Golden Ratio” is the element I’ve meant to highlight in the photo, the intricate spirals and delicate swirls may catch your eye, but there’s more to it than just being simple “whirls”.</div><div><br></div><div>The Golden ratio has a value of 1.61803/1.618 and is described as “The Most Beautiful Number in The Universe” as it can be seen everywhere, from tiny items like plants and animals to enormous objects such as stars and parts of the galaxy.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>When you think about the theme “Math Unites”, you’d often bring up a union between two living things, but I believe it could be different, like a union between two different concepts. It’s quite fascinating thinking how math can help us unite our intelligence and creativity with the world, similar to a “semi-painting”, a combination of fiction and reality.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Math helps us unite with the world, in a sense that through math, we are being more familiarized with the beauty of the universe.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Hi this picture can be related to math in such a perspective that the geometric measurements and structure of the plus sign is designed significantly to replicate each side to form a 3D shaped plus sign using specific measured cutouts.<br><br>I created this simple peace of art because as I was reminiscing these past few years I've lived I got to think about what I've done, what I've learned, who I've met, and the mistakes I made. I realized how lucky I am to have experienced everything I did because it really shaped me for who I really am, I realized that without my mistakes I would have never learned how to grow, how to accept my self. while a friend was ranting to me I comforted him, I told him that everything would eventually be alright, because this is life, we make mistakes, we are not always right, we are imperfect, it's just how you carry these burdens is how you'll get back up again and again everyday, it's my competency that made me stronger today, that's why I asked my friend and to you who is reading this, is to put down the things that are stuck in your head giving you a hard time right now, put it down and you can cry it out, sleep it out, and tomorrow wake up with the courage to move forward in your life, live it out the best you can, do what makes you happy, do the things that makes you, you. There is no end to anything as life is infinite. It is a never-ending loop full of repetitions. Having the amount of knowledge we gain throughout the years, Math will always be a part of it.<br><br>A pi is an infinite number where there is no end to it. Just like the Pi, Fibonacci Sequence has an unlimited number of terms. It doesn't stop and never ends. Having to conduct research, theories, studies that gain more knowledge in Mathematics makes it infinite. Learning Math is limitless as we discover things every day. It continuously gives us answers to the questions we have in mind, and it will go on infinitely, and that is why Mathematics will always be present in every people's life.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><em>“Mathematics is the science of pattern, and nature exploits just about every pattern that there is.”<br></em>-&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<em>Ian Stewart<br></em><br></div><div>What I am holding is a tessellation which is defined as a pattern made out of shapes without any overlaps or gaps that can be seen, in other words, patterns made with shapes that fit together! Tessellations are a part of geometry in mathematics and at the same time have been used in different forms of art. It can be seen in different places in our everyday surroundings.<br><br></div><div>I, describe myself as a tessellation. For just like it, I too fit everything I am doing together and make sure that I leave nothing behind. I relate the things that I do to patterns which I am using as the basis for my decisions of what I’ll do in the future. These patterns may seem “odd” at first for me because of my doubts, but as I oversee into the bigger picture comes the moment I realize how I had just created something aesthetically pleasing and meaningful in my whole life.<br><br></div>]]></description>

The ground that we walk on is built by mathematics; even mother nature that provides us nourishment relies on mathematics. Just like what others say, math is everywhere. Moreover, I believe mathematics is a powerful tool that can inspire our lives and push us to our limits. Math has always been with us ever since the daily reality was made and will continue to be with us for as long as reality remains to exist.<br><br>For me, math is just like a road. If you stop walking, you will never solve the problem or make any progress. However, if you proceed little by little, you will eventually conquer it and see the light in each step. Keep on walking with your own path, and math will assist you in overcoming any obstacles. It's the most acceptable method to learn, no matter how difficult it is. And with our theme, "Math Unites,"&nbsp;a simple Rose could signify it.&nbsp; It's amazing how a seed can grow into such a beautiful work of art. With its leaves growing on its stem, and its petals blossoming on a sunny day, an element of Math is blooming.&nbsp;<br><br>Some may be wondering as to how it connects to mathematics. Well, the spiral of a rose bloom reveals the Fibonacci numbers.&nbsp;It has a purpose in addition to being aesthetically pleasing. The golden spiral arrangement of a rose allows the petals to be contained in the most compact way possible. Whereas each number in the series is formed by combining the two preceding numbers.&nbsp;It begins at 1 1 2 3 5 8 13 21 and continues forever.<br><br>This demonstrates both the wonders of science and mathematics as well as the beauty of nature. Math connects us in a variety of ways. Even a rose with its most basic function in nature serves several purposes in uniting Math to the world.<br><br></div>]]></description>

As the greatest curvilinear form that encompasses all of the features that interest people, the circle is a serene, smooth, and elegant shape that implies tranquility and relaxation.</div><div>In its simplicity, the interesting features of a circle are hidden. The circumference of a circle divided by its diameter is always equal to a single value of pi, whether it is as little as an atom or as vast as the Earth.</div><div><br>A circle is one of the most frequent shapes found in our daily lives and across the world. Planets, planetary movements, natural cycles, natural patterns - circles are all around us. Additionally, circles are also seen in architecture all throughout the world. The form also causes particles to travel, allowing humans to move and move items over greater distances more quickly and efficiently.          <description><![CDATA[<div>In life we always have a crossword of choices, and my choice is to represent this inequality in math. “Greater than or equal” , as the name implies, the greater attribute can certainly affect the equality of a specific thing. The “equal to” expression is utilized to render that two quantities are equal. Whilst “greater than” is a word used to indicate that a certain quantity is in higher degree than the other quantity. When these phrases are combined, they form the term Greater Than or Equal To, which is used to indicate that the quantity or amount value limit could be equal to or greater than the maximum specified.<br><br>Furthermore, when we don't know if the value of a variable is greater than or equal to a particular value, we use the "Greater than or equal to" sign in linear inequalities. The symbol (≥) is used to express it. This sign is nothing more than the symbol for "greater than" (&gt;) with a sleeping line underneath it. "Equal to" is shown by the sleeping line beneath the bigger symbol. Better not neglect this small sign, you’ll be incomplete or worse lost. Thus concluding that sometimes the simplest things are the most profound.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Talking about different mathematicians, people will usually say Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Stephen Hawking, and many other mathematicians. However, why is it always men are being recognized by society? Is it because of patriarchy? or the socially constructed misogynistic mindset?&nbsp;<br>In line with International Women's Month, the people behind me are not just women. They are one of the women of mathematics who has an outstanding and significant contribution to the world of mathematics. Some of these women are deprived of rights - to study and learn and some are silenced just because they are women. But despite the hardships and misogyny, as well as the patriarchal system that they've experienced, they continue to fight and stand their ground.<br><br>After all, I can say that "Math Unites" because, with mathematics, these women conquered and unleashed their capabilities for them to be heard. With mathematics, they served as a representation of women who are capable of doing everything men are capable of doing.&nbsp;<br><br>I want to end this statement with a quote, "Mathematics can really unite."<br><br></div>]]></description>
