What are your interests and hobbies are ?
My hobbies are travel and camera .For example, in this year Spring Festival I went to a trip in SiChuan with my parents and we went to climb snow mountains of different elevations together and take some photos.

What you will be studying at UCA?
In this school year I will be studying Master of Arts in Visual Communication at UCA Canterbury. 

What you think will be most challenging about being a student at UK university?
Different language and different teach style.

What you want to do in the future?

I want to finish my studies successfully and I will take my camera to travel in the UK . 

  

I decided to make a change based on this paper airplane.
1. From the two sides of the triangle to form a large triangle, fold the triangle in half, so that the paper plane head has a certain weight; 
2.Fold another symmetrical triangle, leave a space below for a smaller equilateral triangle so you can balance the plane and even turn it; 
3.Fold both sides in half and fold the small corners together to secure the two small triangles, which makes the plane more stable;
4. And then fold a pair of wings just like in the video.

The result is a top-heavy, light-weight paper airplane.

(The exhibition) collected works of Gabriel Isak, a Swedish photographer suffering from depression for many years. The highlight is his The 

Blue Journey series. He commented on the theme of series that: “In this blue journey, the loneliness in this space is not just loneliness, 

but a world to be explored with the spirit and deconstructed with dreams.” Trying to pry into every picture of the series, the main 

characters that never show up are hiding in the surreal blue landscape, which in turn depicts their inner world, “the works symbolize our 

unconsciousness”. To invite the audience into the space set in the inner world, the commonly used gloomy atmosphere, boundless sea, 

and large areas of blue are introduced to reveal the negative psychology, and more, the stress in life that the city dwellers draw a veil over.

A large amount of data shows that in terms of sexuality education, Chinese parents often have intention to educate their children about sex, but they also tend to delay it to the date when children grow up into adults, rather than to opening their mouth. This work is intended to let children's parents and young people who are about to become parents know that the sex knowledge needs to be shared by parents and elders in order to protect children.

The two different photos are from two movies, the one on the left tells a story about child sexual assault in South Korea, and the one on the right tells a story about AIDS love.

Zaria Forman's large-scale compositions of melting glaciers, icebergs floating in glassy water and waves cresting with foam explore moments of transition, turbulence and tranquility. Creative description: The idea of creation is a long time later, because of human's indiscriminate killing of animals, animals have become extinct. Humans added animals into the test tube for people to visit. The deformation of animals squeezed in the test tube is very worrying. I hope that people can realize the importance of protecting animals, so that our future generations can only see the friends of human beings - animals in the test tube.

I read from the bird-loving website Audubon that there are actives calling for people to build birdhouse, so I decided to design birdhouse to promote the conservation of bird diversity in the form of art installations

The shapes and sizes of these birdhouses can attract different birds, and the color used to make birdhouses are similar to the colors of the environment, such as gray, blue and green, which inspire my design inspiration

During the essay research, I learned from the works of these two artists that if we want to use art forms to attract people's attention to social issues, we need to combine the designed works with real-time social issues.

According to my investigation data, Canterbury is a small town with many dense forests, and migratory birds will pass by every year.

I think my work will be successful because nowadays the Bird Protection Society needs people to create facilities to promote the protection of birds, to remind people that there is a bird protection program going on in the area, and to appeal to people to try not to disturb the birds in the area.
I hope that the Canterbury campus of UCA will be inspired by this work of art.
According to my research data, Canterbury is a small town with many dense forests, and every year migratory birds pass by. This is important because it needs such art facilities and birdhouses to defend the diversity of birds.

In the status quo of protecting animal diversity, most of them advertise the protection of animal diversity with boring data, which cannot attract people's interest. Instead, it is easier to attract people with art works with strong visual effects.

Why did you choose the issue for your essay and not a different one? 
I remember my teacher saying that my art works need to be shown to people from different countries, so the this subject needs to be better acknowledged by everyone.

Was this issue in the news recently?
Yes, my question has to do with saving animals in danger. These are reported in different seasons.

How easy will it be for the audience to understand your artwork?
I think it makes sense because my artwork is like a bird's nest, a reminder that animals are breeding.

How strong is your activist message?

I think it's an activist art piece.  Because saving animals in danger doesn't have to be as scary as the enemy.

What is the most important thing you've learnt during the pre-sessional?
I think it's about reflective language.

How has your English improved during the resit course?
I think my content is better than before

Why is it important to discuss the issue you chose?
My theme is about saving endangered animals, because there are some endangered animals in every country or region.

Where is your artwork going to be located?What will you need to consider before putting it there?
I would put it in an area with natural vegetation, thick forest like my campus in Kent. I need to think about the animals in that area.

Where did you first look for information about your issue?
In the UCA library, I found an e-book about endangered animals. The whole book is very professional and detailed.

Could you make any parts of your artwork better if you had more time?
I think I can, because with more time I can better conceive my sketches and perfect my artwork.
