4. Increase awareness in the European Parliament to promote and uphold green-related concerns from constituents.
5. Reform subsidies so that fertilizer and pesticide alternatives are introduced to produce an eco-friendly farming environment.

This is because farmers abuse the subsidies by expanding production through non-green methods with fertilizers and pesticides. Nevertheless, the payment scheme in 2004 ensures that farmers stick to environmental standards otherwise they will face cuts in the subsidies.
