Lava: If you happen to have baking soda and vinegar at home, it is very fun to make the vinegar red and and let them drop or spoon vinegar onto a pile of baking soda to make "lava". 

clothespins- have your child squeeze open the clothespin, using just their finger and thumb.  This is not easy for them but a great way to build those fine motor muscles.

Also, you have their name cutout in cardboard letters.  ONE- have them arrange them correctly.  First on the big name, then without it. Also, spread out the letters and have them clip the clothespin onto the letter you name.  Great way to combine literacy and fine motor.

Colorful stickers: 1-10 (these should be stuck onto page 2 of the fine motor journal.  They stick the number you call.  Remind them to NOT put on top of each other.  On another day, connect the dots 1-10.  They will need you to help with this! :)

Paintbrush/paint: I included some plain white paper.  They can free paint or if you have glue they can glue the pasta dinosaurs to make a collage.  All of these are great activities.  Try not to make it look "good" to your eyes.  However they do it, it is perfect! 

Extra pack of stickers:
Everyone should have a pack of miscellaneous stickers.  These are to be used for whatever they want!

NUMBERS: We really want the children to be able to count to 10 and identify numbers 1-10.  They can't learn 10 numbers at once.  See what they remember now and add one number in a week.  Continue to review because taking a few weeks off will often result in losing that skill as it isn't secure enough into their long term memories.  

LETTERS:
At this age, we want them to know the letters in their names for sure.  Next, start with uppercase letters.  It's just reviewing with them for a few minutes a day.  Only introduce one new letter at a time.  Once they know it, add another and continue to review the ones they know with it.

In your bag, you will find 4 squishy frogs (you may have 3 frogs and one little lizard)  Two of the frogs have polka dots and the other two   not.  These are very small so look closely.  They are all in a little plastic bag.
