I am currently reading Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls. I would definitely recommend this book. It does get a little boring in some parts but it really picks up with some heart stopping moments, like when Billy was in the cave with a mountain lion, and that was scary! .My favorite part is how the boy makes the first coon trap and the coon could easily escape, but it did not because when they grab something they never let go .In this book there is a boy named Billy who has 2 dogs named old Dan and little Ann. At this point I believe the book is starting to get much better and hold my interest. I feel you grow an attachment to Billy, even though you know you can't change anything. You still go "No, why did you do that, or that was a good choice!" This book also makes you feel compassion for the animals when they get hurt. An a example of this would be when Billy kills the coons, or when anything gets hurt. So in conclusion I would definitely read this book. 

I have recently been reading a Whole New Ballgame. It is a great book. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes sports or just books about someone's day and what they do, but a lot to do with sports. It is a really good one for me because I like the walk through on his life, and it has a great symbolism of what the mom feels and the son. Kind of like wonder but they all are just like you and me. Everyone equal but all with their own individuality. A new part of the story is that we find that Red Rip's friend has a mental disorder.
