         <description><![CDATA[<div>Another thought is around the concept of continuity. ELIR must be by far the longest running review method ever in the UK. So the focus is on enhancement, i.e. the end, rather than continually re-inventing the means. This is a characteristic that seems to work well in the Scottish sector - e.g. in widening access, there are a number of schemes that have been running for (it seems) decades, so people know what they are and how to access them. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Agreed - the public fund the sector, support their offspring through it, and elect politicians who hold the pursestrings. As someone said, a clever marketing campaing will be required - using press, social media, schools? Are there any celebrities who have passed through the sector in the last 20 years who would have a story to tell?  </div>]]></description>
