On this cartoonish cover of his debut album, Aminé sits nearly naked on a bright blue toilet reading "The Good for You Post", a real newspaper that features writing by friends and peers like Taco and Madeintyo as well as his own mother. The playfulness of Aminé is shown in its actual content.

This music video for "REDMERCEDES," is an ecstatic song about his new car. The video is a parable about privilege where he and his friends wear whiteface and are racially profiled by black employees of a car dealership. Aminé tells the NY Times, "I wanted to reverse stereotypes," plus he wanted to emphasize the disquieting phenomenon of seeing white faces rapping a particular racial epithet.

Adam "Aminé" Daniel caught my eye just about the same time he caught everyone else's, when he released his first hit "Caroline." Ever since then I was hooked, he would release new singles now and then but no album. Until July 2017, he released his first album ever "Good For You." This album talks about Aminé's real issues in life and discusses how everyone should do things that are "good for you." His songs include many of Ratliff's elements such as closeness - when he does a duet with Kehlani in one of the songs on his album "Heebiejeebies." As well as endless inventory - which I also included Aminé's song "Caroline" in my padlet. Him as an artist makes me as the listener want to hear more whether it be his songs or songs that he listens to. In this padlet, I will be showing more examples of Aminé and the meaning behind his music.

One of the songs in his new album Good For You is called "Spice Girls." In this video, Aminé talks about the meaning behind it and I enjoyed it a lot because he talks about his favorite musical group - The Spice Girls which brings Ratliff's musical example musical inventory.
