Regulates of satiety, metabolism, and body temperature</li><li>Pituitary - located at the base of the brain. Secretes a lot of hormones and controls a lot of bodily functions</li><li>Thyroid - located in the lower front part of the neck. Produces thyroid hormones that regulate metabolism</li><li>Parathyroids - Are two pairs of small glands embedded in the surface of the thyroid gland. Release parathyroid hormone</li><li>Adrenals - Triangular-shaped glands located on top of each kidney. Produces corticosteroids and catecholamines</li><li>Pineal body - Located in the middle of the brain. It secretes melatonin</li><li>Reproductive organs - The main source of sex hormones. Produces androgens for males, and estrogen and progesterone as well as eggs for females</li><li>Pancreas - Elongated organ located toward the back of the abdomen. Secretes digestive enzymes and insulin and glucagon</li></ul>]]></description>
