We chose this was because we know that money is very hard to earn nowadays because of inflation and the expectations of high education (e.g. degrees). And the number of jobs that are replacing manpower with artificial intelligence . Our ideal HDB is a HDB block with a rooftop garden on top. There should also be a lot of amenities nearby like a supermarket, playground, coffeeshop, shopping mall and many more. Our ideal HDB flat should be a 5 room flat. There should also be solar panels to make it environmentally sustainable. The HDB flat should also be cheap and not too expensive. There can also be another community garden where everyone can plant their own food and things. We can also have void decks and community places so we can promote a kampong community feeling of closeness. There can swimming pool nearby. There should also be a lot of public transport systems like bus stops and train stations nearby to make it accessible.

I’d choose affordable housing and quality because i think that the pricing for houses now are constantly increasing and there are some people who cant afford it. often times when they find a hdb flat thats affordable, its kind of rundown and the quality isnt as good as other newer ones. i think its also important to ensure that those who dont have as much income to also receive more affordable houses that are just as good as others in terms of quality.

We think that affordable and the quality of houses is important as these days, the prices of houses in Singapore is quite pricey and some people may struggle to come up with the large sum of money. The price that people are paying for these house do not justify the sizes of them. Hence I think that HDBs should be more affordable. I think that the quality of houses should also be very important as it should be able to endure the wear and tear. Thus, you will then be able to live in a safe and clean environment.

We feel like we will have rooftop gardens as more plants in the area it will equal to more fresh air as plants release oxygen hence the area will feel more open and welcoming. Research also shows that plants helps to calm down people when they are stressed hence with a rooftop garden then when people of that area are stressed then they can enter the rooftop garden to have peace of mind

Solar panels can provide natural energy for the people living on that area and support the homeowners to up to 20% of energy in their house and it also significantly reduces their dependence on electrical companies and hence will reduce electricity bills and hence they will not waste as much money on their bills and also it is sustainable and saves energy and fossil fuels along with the owners benefit which is a win win situation for both

A 15 story HDB with units containing five rooms. Many sustainable features such as e-waste bins, solar panels, playgrounds, greenery intensification (parks), and a nearby shopping mall.
E-waste bins ensures residents discard their electronics wastes properly. Solar panels generate electricity using the natural sunlight, a more sustainable way of generating electricity when population of residents increases. Playgrounds enriches the bonds between residents, especially children. Parks encourage residents to exercise more and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Lastly, a nearby shopping mall allows residents to shop for groceries and daily necessities conveniently.
Smart and sustainable living is key to having a better HDB. Residents are unaware of the danger that may come if they dont take action. So, they have to play a part in keeping our planet sustainable. Affordable housing is important as newlyweds are the main buyers of these HDB flats. With Singapore’s ageing population, it is also important to ensure that housing quality is well maintained for the elderlies’ safety and convenience.

Since there is increase price of HDB flats, due to inflation, so by making the HDB homes affordable, more young couples could buy their first home to start a family. We could also make sure there is enough rubbish dumpster for more coming residents, to ensure clean environment. We could have an indoor fitness corner, in case of weather, so the senior residents can exercise and we could make sure all equipments are working well. Make sure there is convenient public transport for residents nearby so they can take the MRT or bus.

My ideal hdb block is a building with 16 or 17 levels with a coffee shop around the block and a playground under the block. Ideally there is a shopping mall with ntuc for grocery shppping near the hdb blocks, an atm to withdraw money and a vet if your pets are sick.

Bridges on the highest levels of the HDB buildings . For example, occasions like Chinese new year or like other occasions like national day , when familieas want to celebrate it with their relatives and friends , they don't have to like take long distance travels to celebrate the occasions and could just easily cross the bridge without having to be in a traffic jam

In our neighbourhood, there should be more solar panels for more energy to be conserved. Ther should also be more parks with more trees. Trees are environmentally sustainable as it takes in carbon dioxide and releases oxygen which is good for us. Parks also allows people to exercise and has facilities like playgrounds for children to play and fitness corners for people especially elderly to exercise. There should be more bus stops and MRT , around 2 MRT stations in a neighbourhood. Public transport is more sustainable than using cars and makes it more convenient for residents to be able to go to different parts of Singapore. Hence, there should be more public transport. There should also be shopping centres in a neighbourhood and shops near people houses like mama shops. This allows people to easily get groceries and household goods. In a neighbourhood, there should be community centres and elderly care centres . This allows people in the neighbourhood to form close relationships with each other and causes no conflicts in the neighbourhood. And there should also be at least some clinics around the neighbourhood so that it is convenient for the people to easy access to medication and also can be treated easily.
