I suppose that because of my degree in psychology it would explain my interest in the social, emotional, and behavioral components that play roles in how a child learns and performs academically. I am looking forward to working with each of you this semester! I currently work at Chartertech High School for the Preforming Arts in Somers Point. This is my 4th year teaching at Chartertech, and I love it! I teach four levels of resource math and a few in class support class as a support teacher. After this course I will have two more to finish up my endorsement. From there I plan on getting my master in Special education and then supervisors certification.
Outside of the classroom and grad school I am a mom of two little girls (2 1/2 and 11 months). They basically rule everything else in my life. I recently also had reconstructive surgery on my ACL, so that has slowed our family down some these past three weeks.

I am looking forward to taking this class, and working with all of you this semester! I just got my first teaching job in Newark as a fifth grade ELA teacher! This Fall I am taking another graduate class, which will bring me to 4 classes total in our program! I waitress on the weekends, and love spending time with my family and friends. I love to bake and play volleyball as well. I had two surgeries this summer, and fortunately have been recovering very well!

I had been teaching HS English for 8 years before I spent three years as a school counselor. I took a decade off to raise my kids and am just returning to the workforce now. Additionally I have my Director, Supervisor, and Principal certificates. I love education and can't get enough of the courses. I am now in my second (of seven) classes to complete my ToSD certificate.
With that all said, this is only my second course in an online format. So the logistics of that is more challenging to me than the content.

My husband and I met in college at TCNJ 13 years ago and wenow work in the same district. I am in the elementary setting and he is a high school teacher. We live by the beach and enjoy family time, taking our lab hiking, and paddling out in the bay.
