There are a lot of neat posts which I share with my students when I find them.

National Geographic websites have interesting and relevant articles for varying topics. For those who teach elementary, Nat Geo kids website has a number of premade lessons, activities, and articles that are frequently updated. Throughout the pandemic I found a number of online activities I have been able to use with my grade 7 class.

I find that keeps me informed on 'Hot topics'. I belong to quite a few Environmental/Outdoor Educator and EE groups on Facebook, including the WS- Whitchurch-Stouffville citizens Protecting the Environment, which keeps me involved in local issues. 
I also recommend the following website for resources on current environmental issues across Canada. 
I also agree with Matt- National Geographic is wonderful and the World Wildlife Federation are excellent teaching resources.

Students also help me to stay current. Either through their own findings and discussions surrounding them, or sometimes through the work they submit on EE topics.

I do like watching TedEd seminars or videos on YouTube, I often find their information is fact based and to the point. I do try and look at multiple sources before I introduce a subject to students. Another is National Geographic or Patagonia (they release a lot of interesting content about sustainability)
I have started to use Instagram and Pinterest to build out my EE sources. For example, on Instagram I follow Environment Canada (@canenvironment) and Environmental Defence (@envirodefence). On Youtube, I am subscribed to Our Changing Climate and National Geographic along with others that provide helpful, informative videos. Melissa from the Good Seed Gardening @thegoodseedto is actually a friend of mine and she has worked with me a lot on my gardens to help get the best yield etc. She has tons of good tips for improving gardens of all kinds in the Toronto climate zone.
World Wildlife Fund  @WWF-Canada is another great account to follow to get info about all aspects of nature, divided by topic if you want to search or just see what they post about various environmental issues.
Toronto Zoo @thetorontozoo is something I can often share with my students and they likewise divide issues and animals up by geography so it's easy to add onto other existing units.

1.COEO - https://www.coeo.org/  They acts as a professional body for outdoor educators in the province of Ontario. They also publish "Pathways: The Ontario Journal of Outdoor Education,"  run conferences and workshops, and work with kindred organizations as well as government agencies.

2.Conservation Authorities - I follow the LSRCA and the TRCA.  They tend to have the most up-to-date local information on environmental science and other environmental related news.

3. I am on the mailing list for many NGO's in my area such as: the Oakridges Moraine Land Trust, Ontario Nature, the Windfall Ecology Centre and more.  I have also been a member of a local naturalist club.
