Hi everyone!

Welcome to Tacna, my beautiful hometown! If you're looking for a place full of history, great food, and friendly people, you're in the right spot.

Where is the Parabolic Arch?

The Parabolic Arch is in the Civic Walk, right in the middle of the city. It’s one of the most famous landmarks in Tacna. This arch represents our history and pride, and it's a must-see for anyone visiting the city.

What time can I visit it?

You can visit it any time! It’s open all day. But if you want the best experience, go early in the morning or around sunset. The lighting is beautiful, and it’s a peaceful time to enjoy the view.

How much does it cost to visit?

It’s free! You can walk around, take photos, and enjoy the space without paying anything. It’s a perfect place for a quick visit or to spend some time relaxing.

What can I do near the Arch?

There’s so much to do nearby! You can visit the Tacna Cathedral, which is stunning, or check out the Railway Museum to learn about the city’s history with trains. If you’re feeling hungry, there are plenty of food stands around where you can enjoy local snacks or ice cream.

When is it most popular?

The Parabolic Arch is busiest on weekends and holidays when families come to enjoy the area. But if you prefer a quieter visit, it’s best to go during the week or early in the morning. You’ll have a more relaxed time!

How far is it from Ciudad Nueva?

It’s only about 10 to 15 minutes by taxi or bus. If you’re walking, it’ll take you around 20 minutes.

Good evening, teacher. My name is Sihara and today I’m going to talk about the errands and activities I did last weekend.

On Saturday, I woke up early and got ready for my internship. First, I went to do my practice from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. After that, I went home to have lunch quickly. Then, I went to work from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. It was a busy day, but I felt productive. When I finished work, I met with my friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. We talked, walked a bit, and had dinner together. I enjoyed that time a lot.

On Sunday, I woke up later, around 9:00 a.m. Before breakfast, I cleaned my room and organized my clothes. Then I ate with my family and helped my mom wash the dishes. In the afternoon, I went to the center of Tacna with my sister. We walked around, bought some things, and took photos. It took us about two hours. After that, we returned home and I studied for a while. In the evening, I watched a movie and went to sleep early to be ready for Monday.

That’s everything I wanted to share. I hope you liked it. Thank you very much, teacher.

First, I leave SENATI Tacna and walk straight along Calle Bequijano y Cavillo. I continue for three blocks until I reach the intersection with Avenida Internacional, then I turn right.

After that, I walk straight for five blocks along Avenida Internacional, passing Calle Emancipación and Calle Los Barretos, until I reach Calle Los Héroes on block 5.

Then, I turn left onto Calle Los Héroes and keep walking straight for two more blocks. Later, I reach Calle Tarapacá, where I turn right and continue walking until I reach block 8, close to Calle Lima.

Finally, I turn left onto Calle Lima, and after a short walk, I see Pollería Chaves on the corner of Calle Lima and Tarapacá. It’s next to a small grocery store and across from a bakery. The whole walk takes about 15–16 minutes from SENATI, and it’s an easy route to follow.

Hi, my name is Sihara, and today I'm going to talk about my house and my friend's.

I live in a house with my mom and my brother. My house is medium-sized, with four rooms: a living room, a kitchen, my room, and my brother’s room. It's comfortable and perfect for us. However, my friend has the most bedrooms; she has seven. Her house is bigger and more spacious than mine. Her living room is very modern, and her kitchen has all the latest appliances.

Even though her house is bigger, I prefer mine because it’s closer to my school, and it’s more convenient for me. Also, my house gets a lot of natural light because of the big windows, and it’s much quieter because I live in a peaceful neighborhood.

Thank you!
