Prevention: many people thought that The Black Death was the result of poison in the air, so to prevent the poison to infect humans, people would burn aromatic herbs and wood to counter the foulded atmosphere. Peoples houses would have pleasant smelling plants and flowers that were sprinkled with rosewater and vinegar. also, people thought that the The Black Death was caused by God so one of the main prevention methods were prayer and other religious acts.

When someone caught The Black Death they usually didn't know what the symptoms were so they easily mistakenly thought it was a simple flu but little did they know they were going to die from a painful death.
