Purpose:   The goal of this activity is to help you build your library of literature resources related to evidence-based women’s health crisis and/or Health Policy issues related to the role of the Nurse Practitioner.  {You may gather information from the Women’s Health Initiative issue or Healthy People 2020, etc}

 

Proceed in this manner:

·         For the selected content unit, the student is required to conduct a search of the literature (nursing, other health care disciplines) to identify one (1) article that relates to the focus of unit content readings and activities

·         Download an electronic version of the article (save as a pdf. Full text or .pdf document; do not link to a search engine web page)

·         Read the article carefully, identifying critical points you want to share with peers.

·         Go the designated blackboard discussion forum to post information about this article for your peers, which should include:  The APA citation for the article a 3-5 sentence annotation of the content and/or findings of the article; and a summary of what you learned.  Full-text electronic versions of the articles should be posted along with your note.  Post your comments directly into the discussion entry box:  DO NOT post your comments as an attached document (i.e. word file)
