Stomatosuchus lived in Northern Africa and preferred semi aquatic habitats.

They were a piscivorous reptile that fed on fish. They commonly slept as the other type of reptiles. Champsosaurus had feeding strategies to catch prey. They also  had streamlined bodies which allowed them to move on water more easily.  Their long and sharp teeths which devoured the prey efficiently and good eyesight to catch  prey.

Champsosaurus lived in rivers of North America and western Europe and preferred a warm and subtropical environment.

Crocodylidae has been found in Africa, America, Australia, and Asia and preferred both aquatic and terrestrial habitats.

Quinkana species was a carnivore reptile which ate mammals, reptiles, birds, and other animals. Crocodiles usually rest during the day and at night they become active to engage in hunting activities.  Quinkana skull and sharp teeth facilitate catching and holding prey. Its teeth were effective in tearing prey apart. Quinkana usually spend most of their time around water which suggests that they were efficient swimmers . These adaptations allowed Quinkana species to swim powerfully and catch its prey easily. Their good eyesight and hearing allowed Quinkana species to detect prey and locate threats.

Quinkana have been settled in Australia and preferred tropical regions.

Crocodylus thorbjarnarsoni lived in the Turkana basin in Kenya.
