So far this year I have done 2 EEE’s. I have done a DT one where we had to make a piece of architecture based on an inspiration picture. I am currently doing DAVS which is very helpful for my DoFE volunteering section.

When I reflect on my subjects,I think I need more practice on subjects like Maths ,English and Science.But on other subjects I am quite proud of myself.

Currently , I have 104 classcharts and no negatives. My goal by the end of the year is to get more than 200 and in order to do that, I need to work hard.

Maths

As well as science, the grading systems in maths also changed to the GCSE grades ( 1-9). Something new i learnt this term is circle theorems, reccuring decimals and cubic and quadratic graphs. I find numbers, algebra, shape and space really easy but I need to work harder on graphs and data analysis. Every Tuesday we get set Sparx homework which it due the following Tuesday. I have a 100% accuracy since the start of the term .

English

Right now in English I have a grade 5 but by the end of the year, I want to get at-least a 7. This term in English, we worked on an AIC coursework and did a question 1-5 on the anthologies . I do really well in English especially in analyzing quotations but one thing I sometimes find difficult is writing detailed contextual links and writers’ intentions. To improve my grade, I can do some research in order to thoroughly understand the context and think try writing detailed paragraphs about it and also do past papers.

Geography

Geography is an interesting subject for me because I love leaning about the world around it both environmentally and economically . This term in geography we learnt about natural hazards like tsunamis, earthquakes, hurricanes and coasts . We also leant about how these disasters were impacting the people and difference parts of the coastal system. We also had a few field tops in which we had to collect some data and. Then analysis it. We also learnt about their disadvantages and advantages of key points. My homelearning has also gone well this term.

MSC

In MSC this term, we I learnt about the origin of the UAE and how important learning about the past is for us. We researched different topic and created presentations on what we think about it. I learnt how important it is to learn about a country’s past.

PE

PE is a really fun subject.We do all types of sports like shotput,running . This term we focused on netball, which was pretty fun! I leant the rules of it and how to play it like a real netball player. However I need to practice my defending skills into Dee to play even better.This term I got S for all head,heart and hand grades.

RWS

This year in RWS we leant about different debate skills and presented on our favorite topics. It was really fun learning about different skills needed for a good debate. I learnt how present in a way that everyone understood and enjoyed. We also did a debate against AI. This taught me many new skills that would help me in the future.

French

This term in French I learnt about what people do in their free time, sports, and how to live a healthy life. My grade for French this term in 5 but my target is to get a 7 by the end of the year. To do this, is need to focus on my accents, and grammar. For my writing test I got 10/10 and 15/20 and for my listening I got 21/22 and for grammar I got 8/10 and for reading I got 22/30

Sometimes we get set languagenut and thisisschool tasks which are meant to be done at home. I do my best complete all of the tasks.

Arabic

Right now in Arabic, I am working above the expected level.This term, I learned a lot in Arabic than I learned last year.

We leant about tourism and writing letters to people around the world. Now, we moved on to a new topic - hotels around the world.This topic is easy as we leant a few things about it in our topic earlier.

Attendance

In my opinion having a good attendance in school is great as you don’t miss any important at information.My attendance so far is 100% which I think is a lot better than last year. I am also very punctual and have also never been late to lessons .

What do I do to improve my well-being?

Sometimes I like to paint or draw and to relax, I just take a quick nap. I also go to yoga classes which also helps improve my wellbeing

Reading

My current NGRT score is 126 which is above average. The targets I set to improve is read for more than 30 minutes every night, read non-fiction books and read books with a range of vocabulary.

I am currently reading a book called magnus chase by Rick Riordan. This book is really interesting as it tells an adventurous story about a brave boy who goes on missions.

this term in DT i learnt about their disadvantages differences types of textiles and metal used in the design industry. I also learnt how to use specialist materials. I really enjoy DT as we get to build and design products but also learn some theory.

Business

This year in business, i learnt about the key components and factors that affect businesses. I also learnt about finance and how to sketch cash flow charts and balance sheets. I really enjoy business as like doing the maths calculations. However, i do need to practice answering more 6 markers using the success criteria given by the teacher.

I enjoy Upper School because lessons are more independent and I like being responsible for my own learning, though the bigger workload was challenging at first. I’ve made the most progress in Science because I understand the concepts well and can apply them to questions. French has been the most challenging due to learning lots of new vocabulary and building speaking confidence. Moving forward, I need to focus on French and Maths to improve my skills and do well in my Year 10 assessments.

Sciences

this term, in the sciences, we basically followed on from out learning in year 9. We learnt many new practices and had a go at GCSE styled papers. This really helps me as it exposes me to hard problems which make me better at the subjects. We normally get educakes which I always complete.
