Since a song is usually composed by instruments playing at the same time, this shapes interact on screen at some points, and it caught my attention how, after you create this shape and sound association in your head, the part of the images you focus on while watching the film end up influencing on which sound in the music you pay more attention to. 

But it’s hard to tell if there is any association between what makes two beats different and two objects different, for example, loudness and size or height. One notable exception is the hills in the landscape, because you can see they were edited to go up and down following the pitch of the sound. The most amazing aspect of this visual representation is how almost everything that composes the view is there for an specific reason and even so the video still looks like a real landscape with repeated objects. It’s visible how the director was very careful while choosing the visual elements he would use, and proved in the amazing making of of him planning the music video, calculating the timing for each element to appear and recreating the initial ideal with smaller objects to visualize it.

It’s interesting how the main idea of the project is to focus on how the sounds you make while telling a story (voice and heartbeat) react when you’re in an emotional state, and not the words in the story itself (since the app even warn you that the story will not be recorded), and make it possible to visualize this changes in the sound. While looking at the unique mandalas it’s noticeable a similarity with sound waves and electrocardiograms, but forming an circular object due to multiple axis of symmetry created by the developed software. The tangles give this feeling of different densities related to the movement of the lines, sometimes more stable and calm, or more intense, allowing us to only imagine the emotions that generated this image.

We produce so many things, no necessarily trash, that we use them to sculpt, we don’t have to sculpt we marble anymore. We have a lot of things, we can’t only discard them, we need to give them another meaning

#Personal opinion:
I find it really interesting the motivation behind the use of ready made materials and the process he uses to relate his work with movement, but at the same time it seams too particular, something that is his, so in my opinion his work calls more attention to the type of materials he uses them the movement itself, and because of that I didn’t have too much ideas for the sculpture’s theme during this exhibition.
