The mood of the poem is seemingly mysterious yet familiar or relatable, because the beginning stanzas talk about how Richard Cory was the perfect embodiment of a human being however do not let actions or mere appearance determine what he is feeling. I state this because in the last phrase “Went home and put a bullet through his head” mentions that, though it seemed that he was fine and not struggling by his social status and wealth but he actually was; as such, we readers feel pity for him through his actions however a pity where we pity ourselves because we can relate to his struggles. -Leyba

Going to therapy allows me to express my problems to an esteemed professional who may guide me in the right direction and or any other direction than the path Richard Cory took. Any other solution is definitely better than simply ending it all because, your life is precious, you will never get a second chance in life; hence, living to your fullest–even with assistance like therapy–or simply living is a much better outcome or solution than completely finishing what is left of you. - Leyba
