In addition, they also do not think long about what will happen in the future. They do not first investigate the background of the money lender. As a result, they end up in debt from illegal money lenders and this causes them to be physically or mentally harassed if they are unable to pay the money.

Some people, in my opinion, employ illegal money lenders instead of taking out bank loans because they require money right now to make a life. Making a loan through a bank necessitates following the bank's procedures, which takes a lengthy time to receive permission from the bank. Not only that, but it's possible that a small number of people are still unaware of the dangers of taking out loans from these illicit money lenders. Asking for family support, managing finances well and in an organised manner, being frugal, and increasing income are some approaches to handle the problem of money borrowing. This is one of the ways that these illicit money lenders operate: by instilling faith in persons or parties in need of money that they can assist them in resolving their difficulties. The government is in charge of spreading or providing information on the benefits and simplicity of obtaining credit from banks in order to assist those who are in need of money but are unaware of how to use credit.

With the use of declining physical liquidity, especially after a year of freezing, interest has once again shifted to the central bank’s digital currency (CBDC). In addition, the need for CBDC is less urgent in developed countries. In Europe, for example, the European Central Bank has studied the potential use of CBDCs across the EU, but it will take at least another four years to achieve results if launched and will be time consuming and unconducive. Meanwhile in Malaysia, BNM said that this method would eliminate the need for intermediaries and also reduce transaction time and costs. The project, dubbed Project Dunbar, aims to develop a prototype sharing platform for cross border transactions using multiple CBDCs, which will allow financial institutions to transact directly with each other in digital currencies issued by participating central banks.

In my opinion, most people borrow to illegal money lenders instead of borrowing money from banks because they are too desperate to get money immediately without having to provide too many documents. This way they can earn money even if only dealing for a day. In addition, some of them are unaware of the amount of interest rate charged during borrowing. If borrowing money with a bank, the interest rate charged is fixed and will not increase unless changes are made by the borrower himself while borrowing money from an illegal money lender charges a very high tax and always increases. One of the ways to solve this matter is for the bank to conduct a massive campaign on borrowing money and calculating the tax imposed by the bank so that the public knows and is easy to deal with the bank. Advise them not to choose the wrong loan that could lead to disaster in the future.

In my opinion, they are willing to take the option of illegal money lenders is because they need the cash in a short time without the need for paperwork. This is because they need the money as soon as possible, perhaps because they need it to pay for medical treatment or other things that need the money immediately. To overcome these illegal activities, the government needs to hold a campaign or some promotional activities that can prevent more victims to be in contact with those who do the illegal activities. Not only that, government also can spread the benefits of using credit facilities from banks through media social.

My suggestion to solve the problem of loan shark and illegal money lending is that the government can hold talks related to the problem to give awareness to the people.
