         <description><![CDATA[<div>Is there any situation where the loss of morals to achieve success is justifiable?<br><br>Most of the conversation has been about the negative effect on others when someone around them looses their morals and that it is never okay to loose morals, but I think it is justifiable to loose morals to achieve success if it doesn't effect others. One example of this is when Gatsby sold alcohol illegally. It didn't affect anyone around him and he achieved his goals of becoming wealthy.</div>]]></description>

         <title>I think that when our actions start affecting other people and start creating issues that&#39;s when we need to start taking responsibility towards them. This then influences our later actions because we would think about this before making a decision. An example of this would be when Mama bought the house for her family, she wasn&#39;t just making the decision/action for herself she was making it for the whole family, mostly Walter jr because she bought it so it would be his house later in life.  </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I agree with how everyone is using Gatsby as a good example of how our actions affect others. In Gatsby, he only ever really cares or focuses on getting Daisy, this is his goal. Because he is so focused on this one goal, he is blind to how his actions are affecting others, and the reckless path that leads to trying to get Daisy, dragging Nick into it and worsening Tom and Daisy's marriage. He often times only uses people to reach his goal.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I think Gatsby is justified in his pursuit of Daisy because everyone is entitled to their own dream and passion, Gatsby's hunt for Daisy didn't put anyone in direct harm. I think Myrtle's death was a death of chance and was Myrtle's fault and then Gatsby's death stemmed off of this. Gatsby was also saving Daisy from a toxic relationship.</div>]]></description>
