The task was to kill or capture Osama bin Laden (OBL) at/in his compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. The mission was meant to strike a serious blow against Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups.

The choppers held the 2 teams, C1 and C2, and would drop them off at separate parts of the compound. C1 was supposed to fast rope into the courtyard of the main house while C2 fast roped onto the roof of the main building. C1 crash landed into the largest courtyard after the rotorwash from the copter made the pilot lose control. C2 watched the crash and landed outside the compound so they wouldn’t crash. C1 then assaulted the gates from the larger courtyard to enter and clear the guest house. After securing a way inside, C2 moves into the B courtyard to begin clearing the area. C1 cleared the guest house killing the Al-Kuwaiti brothers before moving into the main house. The pointman for C1 shot OBL’s son who was camped on the stairway platform. Then while walking down the hall he saw someone poking their head out of an open door way.
