The rest of the cast are in 'normal' wear, work clothes and clothes that represent being in their early 20s, something trendy.

Talking head interviews: One of the defining features is the use of "talking head" interviews, where characters will speak directly to the camera in a confessional-style setup. Providing insight into the characters' thoughts and reactions, serving as a comedic device.

Natural lighting: The lighting will appear more natural and less staged. It gives the impression that the scenes are being filmed in an authentic flat.

Handheld camera work: Handheld camera adds a sense of immediacy and realism. It simulates the look of a documentary crew following the characters around, capturing their day-to-day activities.

Documentary-style framing: Shots are framed to mimic documentary filmmaking, with characters sometimes placed off-centre or partially obscured, creating a more authentic and less polished appearance.

Realistic sets: It will be filmed in a real flat, with attention to detail to make them look lived-in and believable, and probs throughout to make it look as if Emily has had her impression on the flat. This helps to enhance the show's mockumentary premise.

The film will be between 3 - 5 minutes long, using a Panasonic 180 camera, incorporating the appropriate sound and lighting tools to create the documentary to mockumentary style. The short films genre is Comedy, and we intend to achieve this by using simple yet effective camera angles, interview styles and handheld camera work. Moreover, we aim to use simple comedy such as over dramatics and breaking the 4th wall to further engage our audience. Furthermore, we will use naturalistic lighting and sound to have an authentic approach. Therefore, any special effects that we want to add such as background music, will be added in editing to create a smooth filming process.

The purpose of our film is to create a heart-warming, comedic film that people can relate to. As a group we are all lovers of comedies such as Modern Family and The Office that all follow that mockumentary/ satire style. We started by brainstorming ideas for our plot and realising that we all have experienced (or been) the theatre kid. We recognized that by over dramatizing the personality of a theatre kid, we could create humour in the annoyance of her roommates. Emphasising the themes of theatre and comedy by including interviews to tell the story and give context in a short time to not confuse our audience. It is set in a flat share environment so we will be filming in Peel Park Student Accommodation so that the setting and environment of the film is clear.

We are aiming our film at a younger audience, because the idea of roommates in their 20s makes it appeal to a young adult/ university student. Although, because of the ideas of theatrics it also could also appeal to a wider audience of people who enjoy theatre or have tolerated the people who love to pursue it, inviting them to a sense connection or familiarity with it.
