Do they enrich your life at all? Do other people see them as art? zenemarks https://padlet.com/zenemarks/v8pa5ydpjnz51dn/wish/2362709217 Every time I have one of these artistic encounters, I find myself learning something new about art, and about myself and the way I see the world. I learn that others’ perceptions of things are not quite the same as mine, and how people see themselves and the moment that they’re currently living in varies even between close groups of friends. Each encounter enriches my life and teaches me more about art and the world around me, and how to see things from many different perspectives. Other people sometimes don’t see things like my cat as art, but I see it as my cat expressing how he wishes himself to be perceived, and to me, the intentionality in that is art.

How would the experience of museum-going change if the art you interacted with daily was a part of the museum collection? zenemarks https://padlet.com/zenemarks/v8pa5ydpjnz51dn/wish/2362709468 Often, my daily encounters with visual art are fleet and my perception of them fleeter. For this reason, it can be hard for me to remember to record my daily encounters with visual art, often because I am moving at the pace of the world, and the world moves around me just as quickly. Something that I might perceive as art might not be there five seconds later, and no camera can do some things justice. Artwork that I see in museums, on the other hand, is directed towards me. That art is presented and there to be observed, whereas in daily encounters, the art doesn’t necessarily exist for the purpose of being art, or even for being observed. The experience of museum-going, for me, would be greatly enhanced by my ability to encounter daily art in a museum, especially with more time and space to admire it and really think about it.
