In class, we prepared for the MUN conference with our teacher, Ms. Stocker. Each of us was assigned a country and a topic, such as social media regulation, terrorism, and so on. When we were in France, we spent two hours preparing for how everything works for example, how we can form alliances and many other things.

Our trip started on Monday. We drove to Munich by bus and from there we took the plane to Toulouse. At the airport, our host families welcomed us and drove us to their respective homes. It was our first dinner with our host families, but fortunately they all made us feel welcome. At the end of the day we were tired from the trip, but also very excited for the following days.

Tuesday, 24th March

Tuesday was our first whole day in France. We spent the whole day exploring the city of Toulouse. Ms. Rohde made an escape tour through the whole city, so we could visit Toulouse in small groups. We had to answer some questions about the sights and had to take a photo at each one. The whole trip was really fun and I enjoyed getting to know a new culture and many new people. My favourite activities were visiting the city of Toulouse and Carcassonne. I think the trip also helped me to become more indipendent and confident.

I loved the whole trip and I really enjoyed visiting Toulouse. But what I loved most was meeting new people, making new experiences and learning new things. All those memories will stay with me for a lifetime.

On Friday we were all dressed up because we spent the whole day at the Lycée Clémence Royer to participate in the MUN Conference. There we all had to represent a country and in three different groups (WHO, HCR, DISEC) we discussed topics like social media regulation, AI and terrorism. We could also write each other messages to form alliances or to just chat. Then there was also the gossip box, where you could write anonymous messages to the others or oblige them to do funny tasks like singing or dancing. There was also the fashion police that controlled whether everyone had appropriate elegant outfits. So that day we didn’t just learn how a UN conference works but we also had many things to laugh about.

In the morning, we attended school and took part in lessons alongside our host siblings. We also spent time preparing for Friday's conference. In the afternoon, we spend time with our host siblings.

In the morning, we visited Carcassonne in small groups and explored the historic city on our own. In the afternoon, we headed to the 'Cité de l’Espace,' where we watched two films and had the chance to explore the museum independently.

The whole trip was great. I especially enjoyed meeting new people and seeing how schools work in other countries. It was also a good opportunity to use French and English in real-life situations. The visit to Toulouse was also great. It's a really beautiful city.

The trip was really nice.

I spent a lot of time with my friends from back home and also found some new people in France.

My exchange family was really nice and I got to experience their culture, food and the language overall.

My favorite activity was going to Toulouse.

I really liked and enjoyed the whole trip. It was really nice to see a new country and to experience a new culture. My host family was really nice and I also met some really nice people. The thing that I liked the most was going to Toulouse and to Carcassonne because it was really nice to see such beautiful cities. It was also nice that we got some free time alone and that we could also explore for ourselves. I would recommend this experience to everyone because it was really fun and amazing.

At 8 o’clock, everyone went to school with their respective exchange students and we went to class with them. I spent an hour in a chemistry lesson, which was really interesting and fun. It also gave me the chance to get to know other students. Afterwards, our group met up to prepare for the MUN conference together. We did a short simulation and were given important information about the conference on Friday. After school, we had a free afternoon, which I spent in Toulouse with my host student and his friends. It gave me the chance to get to know him better and improve my French. We had a lot of fun!

I really enjoyed the exchange, as it gave me the chance to meet lots of new people and learn about their culture. In addition I had the opportunity to practise my French and English. I particularly liked the tour of Toulouse and the free afternoon with the host students, as it gave us the chance to get to know each other better. It was a really nice trip, which I would definitely recommend!

From March 23 to March 28, 2026, we traveled to France as a group of 11 students and 2 teachers. The trip was co-funded by the European Union (Erasmus+).

On March 23, we flew from Munich to Toulouse, and on March 28, we returned from Toulouse to Bergamo. The flights went very smoothly, and for many of us it was our first time flying.

We had a very enjoyable and successful program throughout the week, experiencing something new every day. During this student exchange, we created many new memories and gained valuable experiences.

I really loved the trip, I learned a lot about the french culture and also that every country has it’s differences. I really enjoyed visiting the cities and being with my friends. My Hostfamily was also very nice and I loved staying with them. This trip was great and definitely something I would do again.

Unfortunately, our trip came to an end on Saturday. Early in the morning, after breakfast, we were driven to the airport by our host families. After saying goodbye to everyone, we made our way to our plane. We flew from Toulouse to Bergamo. After we arrived there and got some food, we were picked up again by a bus. We arrived home in the late afternoon, where our parents picked us up. We were all very tired and happy to be back, but we will always remember this amazing trip.

Conference

On the last day, Friday the 27th, we all met at the school for the MUN Conference. Beforehand we had done a lot of preparation at school and we felt ready for this day. When we went into the school people from other schools were also there and everyone was dressed really nicely. They had Pain au Chocolat there for us and juices. At the beginning we sat in a room and there two students presented the teachers to us and why the MUN Conference was important. Then we divided into our groups: WHO, HRC and DISEC. We went into the designated rooms and there it began. We had our seats with our countrys name on it and they immediately began with presenting the Ammendments made by every Country. After presenting those we had the chance to say why we were against it or in preference of it. After 2 hours it was finally lunch time and we went and had lunch with an entertaining football game and dance show after. Then we took some pictures and returned to our rooms. There we went a little through the Gossip Box, had to do funny dances because we weren‘t dressed appropriately. At around 4/5 PM it was over and we had a little 30 minute break to rest, to then take photos again after. Overall it was a nice experience for all of us and we had a lot of fun at taking part of a MUN Conference.

The trip was a really great experience. I got to know new people and their culture better. My host family was very kind and welcomed me warmly. I especially enjoyed the visit of Toulouse. I would definitely recommend this trip!
