The main part of the story revolves around Elizabeth and Darcy. At the beginning both characters have a good share of pride, and are conditioned by prejudice. Darcy is pround of his social positions. Elizabeth also has her pride, even if she is not rich. But in the end they will lose their pride and their prejudices and find that they are in love with each other.
