         <description><![CDATA[<div>Both teacher and student centered.&nbsp;</div><ul><li>Teacher makes his/her expectations VERY clear. For example: Course outline, Goals on the board, etc.</li><li>Students come up with class contract that states the rules and regulations with the teacher</li><li>Cooperative learning/Partner work-&nbsp;</li><li>Students must be on the same page, at same time.&nbsp;<ul><li>Students work together on exercises (students can determine how to complete exercises allot specific questions or work on it as a whole.)</li><li>If no tables, then desks should be touching and facing each other.&nbsp;</li><li>3-4 in a group&nbsp;</li></ul></li><li>Inductive/ Deductive Reasoning</li><li>Teacher modeling&nbsp;</li><li>Engaging activities&nbsp;</li><li>Teacher must motivate the students by making lessons enjoyable and interesting.&nbsp;</li><li>There must be an everyday routine in the classroom. &nbsp;<ul><li>Do Now, take attendance, check/go over homework, go over the Do Now, etc.&nbsp;</li></ul></li><li>"Exit Ticket" and/or Summary Activity<ul><li>Before students leave the classroom ask them to answer a question based on what was taught.&nbsp;</li></ul></li><li>Have students use their higher order thinking skills.&nbsp;<ul><li>Be able to answer the "why" or the "because"</li></ul></li><li>Teacher must make a connection with his/her students.<ul><li>Survey questions, getting to know you activities, likes/dislikes, learning styles&nbsp;</li></ul></li><li>Offer extra help if a child is having difficulty in a certain area.&nbsp;</li><li>Students and teacher must be respectful towards one another.&nbsp;</li><li>There must be movement within the lesson&nbsp;<ul><li>Group work</li></ul></li></ul>]]></description>
