As for the learners, we have our LMS (Genyo) and Google classrooms which assist them in terms of the lessons that they missed or they were not able to follow with. (Laikah Bitaga)

 With the exigency in shifting to a new paradigm in the teaching-learning process due to the onslaught of covid19 pandemic, manifolds of challenges and concerns were posed before us, teachers. In the school where I taught, the main vehicle for instructional delivery was via the modular approach. However, it is reinforced with social media platforms such as google meet, google classroom, email, messenger, and even Facebook. There is no single approach that could be utilized because of the frictions among geographical location, distance, and media and technology availability. In lay-away areas where internet connection is poor or no signal at all, I heavily rely on their answers in their modules. I also made discussion videos and sent them on our group chats. Adding to the brunt of the teachers and students is the absence of technology. So whatever the student has; I capitalized on that. I called every one of my students on their mobile number for monitoring, discussion, and even oral examination. We exhausted all the devices to cater to the learning needs of the students. Other challenges that confronted us were the lack of cameras, laptops, headphones, and other learning devices. Moreover, the load is shouldered by us. (Lotaniel R. Garcia)

2. How do school leaders give support in dealing with these technology issues and needs?

I teach in a very remote area in San Narciso where there's no access to internet and even cellphone signal. During face-to-face classes, the burden was not that bad because we (teachers) always find way to fill in the gaps such as downloading all the needed materials that we could use in the instructions during weekends or producing in the best way we can other necessary instructional tools and materials for our learners. But when the Pandemic strikes, it becomes very challenging for us to reach our learners. Only few have cellphones/gadgets, parents mostly admitted that they are incapable of helping their child in Modular Distance Learning, some  do not have TV and even have electricity at home. With all of these in mind, we still need to think of a way to help our learners. That's why, every Wednesday we go to different Community Learning Center to meet our learners and assist their difficulties in some learning areas . This activity is well communicated with the Barangay officials and we make sure to follow the health protocol at all times.

Our school head is very supportive to us especially when it comes to our needs in terms of instructions. She also prioritizes acquiring all the materials/tools that could be procured in the MOOE such as printers, typewriting, ink etc. All the available deped laptops can be borrowed and used by the teachers and even the desktops in the ICT room. 
On the other hand, DepEd provided our GAS learners a tablet. While other learners can borrow PC tablet from the school. The DepEd sim cards are also a big help for us teachers. (Charmaine M. Manato)

Lack of teacher support in terms of technology equipment is the primary challenge that needs to be addressed for their professional, and mental welfare. Since, teaching-learning process takes place in various online platforms. Therefore, school administrations must provide adequate gadgets, webcams, stable internet connection, and headsets in order to deliver a quality lessons for the students' progress. Unfortunately, in my perspectives teacher's need are neglected, and disregarded due to the lack of financial budget and list will go on. 
In connection to that, we are still bombarded by the new education system. In just a blink of an eye, we became online teachers with lack of technology literacy, therefore we struggle to conduct classes and to organizes students works, since our both have online and offline learning. It was difficult for us to navigate suitable software to utilize, particular when there is a need for collation performances. 
The teachers struggle on the simultaneous tasks that were assigned to them. Nowadays the teachers must comply to enormous school works which can be accomplished beyond working hours. In that case, the teachers' 'free time' are spent on fulfilling the works. 
Since, there are numerous students who cannot afford to purchase either a gadget, or stable internet connection, that is why they cannot attend the classes. Therefore, even non-teaching related works are ought to be done in a duration of time. As a teacher, we need to to something, so we either conduct a home visitation, or we keep connected to their guardians in order to keep track of their learning problem. The problem here is, still it is the teacher responsibility to conduct a some visitation for the students, which is I think beyond the duties and responsibilities of teachers. Yes, it is precisely the nature of a teacher to provide support to the student specially in todays world. But, it is no longer a job of a teacher to communicate with them. Teachers are called teachers for a reason. Their responsibilities are to instill knowledge, to provide a quality learning, and to teach the students.
With all of those, due to unforeseen challenges, the previous year was a tough year for everyone. However, we still managed to overcome those challenges, I am very proud for everyone, who survived and still teach in the same intuitions despite of these challenges. For, I am still grateful for the opportunity that was given to me, I will always be thankful for my school who gave me such experience to overcome these obstacles. Although I struggled a lot last year, I am still in the same association with almost the same challenges. A year will pass again teachers, we did our best, we provided best learning experience to our dear students, and because of that, we all deserve to be called true heroes!
