Experiment 2: Investigating convection in Liquid
Predict: the liquid will move in a circular motion
Observe: the blue dye travelled slowly through the bent tube.
Explain: As the heated water in the tube expands, its volume increases, which results in a decrease in density, the hotter water rises up and the cooler dye at the top will sink down to the bent section of the tube as it is less dense, thus there is the observation of the blue dye moving downwards.

Experiment 1: Investigating conduction in different materials
Predict: Glass is a poor conductor of heat, which conducts heat the slowest, while brass is the best conductor of heat, which conducts heat the fastest.
Observe: The paper on the aluminium rod conducts the most heat as the paper turned blue the fastest.
Explain: In the experiment, aluminium is the best conductor of heat, causing it to gain heat the fastest among the different materials. Hence, aluminium conducts heat the fastest, causing the paper to turn blue the fastest.
