My personal stress comes from school and work. As an older student attending school online, I find it difficult to concentrate and understand assignments as well as doing good in every class. Work is a daily stress. I find myself competing with others to do well and perform at the top level. Also, being able to help my spouse with finances put stress on my marriage.
Personal stress quiz Moderate Stress https://www.psycom.net/stress-test).
My answers suggest a moderate indication that I have symptoms common among people with high stress.

Stress comes in many forms. It comes from demands and pressures of the recent past and anticipated demands and pressures of the near future (APA, 2012). It can be acute, episodic or chronic. General stress from every day life can come from work stress, financial stress, stress from the demands of school and from relationships. Students may feel pressure to do well, employees want to perform well or they have time crunches for projects and in relationships, there is the stress of feeling adequate.

There are two categories for coping with stress. They are problem focused or emotion. How one reacts to stress is categorized within the two. If you are problem focused, you will seek help, confrontation assertion, direct action, find information on the web or books, logical analysis, problem solving. In emotion focused there is avoiding, denial, venting, diverting, humor, praying, wishful thinking (Sarafino & Smith, 2017).
In my personal stress I seem to be more emotional. I will try to first vent to others and then find humor. If stress is severe and often not so severe, I tend to pray for guidance and peace.

Communities are a great resource in enhancing people’s access in social support by creating programs to help individuals develop social networks, such as in occupational and religious settings, and by providing facilities for recreation and fitness like the YMCA, arranging social events, and providing counseling (Sarafina & Smith, 2017.
I use mental health agencies to get support groups through Resilient Health in Gilbert, AZ.

To cope with my own stress in life, I lean on God. Prayer is my main source of healing. When I pray, I ask for peace and understanding. Family is also a way to help me cope with stress. When I have stress with my girls, I will reach out to my mother for help. Her experience and advice have always been my go to. My parents help with marriage stress as well. They have been married 52 years and are also Christians. They guide me spiritually as well as through experience.
