In most of my classes, I take notes on the things we are learning about. I take notes because it helps me understand the topic better. Once we have our end-of-unit test, I can use my notes to study and review what we learned at the beginning of that chapter. Some classes for which I will take notes are English, Math, Agriculture, Spanish, and AVID.

Yes I have taken notes during class and while studying. I did this because I pay attention in my classes but sometimes have trouble remembering all of the knowledge. So when I hear some key information I will have a notebook for myself and for that class and take notes on it. I try to keep it organized enough so later I can go back and study them. This helps me do well on tests and quizzes and overall helps me in the class by just a little more effort in writing information down.

I think students choose not to take notes in classes is probably because they don't care enough about learning, and they aren't willing to put effort into notes. I believe there is a connection between taking notes and doing good on exams / assessments especially when the exam is open notes. Some of my challenges and obstacles that I face when taking note is not knowing what show goes in there. such know if it is really important to add or if it's just important to the little part out of everything. I have taken notes during class, it was during middle school. My history teacher made us do Cornell notes, but eventually she let us take notes the way we wanted. I took notes because it would help in quizzes and make it more organized. It helps me understand a topic or section of something easier, rather than trying to remember a whole lecture.
