         <description><![CDATA[<div>- The idea of de-development would prove to be a strong rallying cry in the global south base on the recent consumer survey. In that recent consumer survey, 70% of the middle and high income countries believe that overconsumption is putting the planet and the society at risk. A similar majority also believe we should strive to buy and own less and doing so would not compromise our happiness.</div><div>What is de-development?</div><div>De-development is not about giving anything up. Much more not about living a life of voluntary misery or imposing harsh limits on human potential.
