What were Zeus's expectations for Gods and mortals?

Zeus's expectations toward the Gods were simple. He sees that each God or Goddess tends to his or her individual task. He makes sure that they are punished for their wrongdoings and assists them by guiding them as a mighty friend.

As for mortals, his expectations varied depending on class. He took interest in the actions and behaviors of mortals. He watches over them and rewards them for their good deeds and punishes when necessary. He expects the "mighty" ones to assist the ones in need, no matter the situation. Hospitality was a way to show honor to the Gods. This means that showing hospitality to anyone was the same as showing it to a God. Zeus was the god of hospitality, which meant he expected everybody to be friendly and welcoming.

Why did the Titans dislike Zeus?

The Titans disliked Zeus because Zeus overthrew his father, Cronus. Cronus was the ruler of the Titans and they are the elder gods. They tried to take their place back by fighting against Zeus but were banished to Tartarus. Tartarus is a city that lies far deep beneath the Underworld.

Before Zeus overthrew his father, Cronus devoured his children because he feared that they would take over his throne. However Cronus's sister, also his wife, managed to save the life of her sixth child, Zeus. When Zeus grew up, he went to Metis, a Titan, and asked her information on how to defeat his father. Metis prepared a drink that would cause Cronus to vomit up his children who he devoured. Rhea, a Titaness daughter of Uranus and Gaia, persuaded Cronus to accept his son. Zeus returned to Mount Olympus and was his father's cupbearer. Zeus was able to get his father to drink the solution, which made Cronus eject his children. Zeus's siblings were thankful and made him their leader.

How did Zeus get rid of his father, Cronus?

Zeus's siblings were extremely furious at Cronus for having been swallowed for the last couple of decades. Zeus was able to reunite them all together and take down their father and the Titans in a long, bloody war that succeeded. Their first plan was to find a weapon. The first step they took was to travel into Tartarus and free the Cyclopes who have been locked up there by Cronus. The Cyclopes were extremely thankful and glad that they were freed, that they forced three weapons. Hades received a magical helm which made him invisible when he wore it, a trident to Poseidon, and thunderbolts to Zeus. The war they fought against Cronus was long and bloody. Finally, the three brothers cornered Cronus. Hades snuck upon him secretly and detracted him while Poseidon used his trident to demolish him, and at last Zeus used his thunderbolt to take him out. The war was over and the Olympians dispelled nearly all of the Titans to Tartarus, including their father. Later on, Cronus was able to escape Tartarus and lived with the mortals afterwards.
