He seems like is is very into learning and helping other people with their education. Even though he was wealthy, he was more known for his personality and perspective in things. 

2.) Wealth to me means having a lot of money, where you don't have any debt or expenses you still need to pay. Mansa Manu had so much money compared to people today. 

3.)I feel like you have more of a influence on the past. In the past there was more one person ruled everything and that one ruler or king had all the power so they were very wealthy. Nowadays, people have regular jobs and very few people are rich because they either play a professional sport, or they own their own business.

  • I would say that Mansa Musa was a very wealthy and popular man who made good changes for many people in Africa. His generosity with his wealth may have caused inflation, but I feel as if it helped a lot of people out of poverty and created many learning centers that people didn't have before.

Also in modern society there are a lot more bills to pay like groceries, taxes, health care etc. and back then there was none of that.   • Based on what you know about him, how would you characterize Mansa Musa as a ruler?
    • From what I have heard, I think he was a good ruler. His kingdom was flourishing, they had a lot of resources, and he put a lot into education, which was good for his kingdom. I think he was a good ruler, and he made a good influence on people around him, which made his country look good.
    1. How would you characterize/define  wealth?
    I think if you have enough money to pay for your needs and what you want to do, then that is wealth.
    1. Is it different to be wealthy today compared to the fourteenth century? Do you have more influence today? Less? 
    I think today's wealth is more about having fancy things, and the balance on your credit card, but back then I feel like if you had a lot of gold bars, or something to show that you were wealthy, then people would know.

    3.comparing his wealth to celebrities today, is nothing although celebrities are rich as well in some ways it's unable to surpass the wealth that Mansa Musa had. Obviously the wealth he had was 400 billion dollars which is in today's money but it might've been different in the past.
