    1. During the sec 1 recruitment, I felt anxious and nervous but further through the day I felt amazing.

    2. I got to communicate with my seniors and had the opportunity to share my opinions to others. This made me feel proud about being a part of ncdcc

    3. I want to improve my public speaking skills and I need to learn how to be capable during any situation as they were the two weak spots during the event for me. I also think that since the popcorn station was taking time and making the sec 1's wait, maybe next time, we can make something similar to popcorn but made with little time.

    4. This event has nurtured me to help build connection with others and be a better version of myself.

  • The event was exciting, and was able to help me a bit by getting me out of my comfort zone.

  • I was happy about the number of sec 1s my team and I was able to get to join for first choice.

  • The event was fun as I got to showcase outdoor popcorn cooking for my juniors and I am satisfied that I had the opportunity to talk about NCDCC to the sec1 juniors

  • I was happy that I could showcase how to cook popcorn outdoors to the sec1s. I am proud that despite it being

    stressful at times, we still managed to cook a lot of popcorn for the juniors

  • We could improve by starting earlier to make the popcorn so that we can ensure an ongoing supply. I can improve my popcorn making skills as a lot of the batches were burnt on the bottom.

  • (a) This has nurtured me to become my best as I got to improve my communication skills with my juniors. (b)  This has helped me connect with my possible juniors of NCDCC and I connected with my teammates to make the station as engaging as possible. (c) I learnt to make quick responsible choices as at times there were difficulties but they were solved by quick decision making skills.

  • I felt like the event was quite fun as I was able to meet the sec 1 students for the first time and they were very energetic and interested in the cca

  • I was able to be more outspoken as I'm usually someone who does not try to talk to new people

  • Making my explanations have less talking and more student interaction such as volunteering to show how to do bandages.

  • a)I managed to be very friendly with the sec 1s and keep up with their energy while still showing them how NCDCC is a good cca since you can learn life saving skills.

    b)Some sec 1s really liked talking to me and some actually came back to my station after they finished the others just to talk to me and ask how ncdcc is.

    c) I was able to be responsible by being able to teach them basic first aid.

I was proud that we were able to speak loudly with confidence by the end of the day and that we were able to attract a lot of the students. What could have been improved was we could have attracted more sec1s to sign the paper because a lot of sec1s ignored us when we told them to sign, however i feel that the event was very messy as there were sec1s walking around to different booths even though their group is at a different booth, for example if group A is at the USAR booth, there would be sec1s from that group asking about the popcorn etc. This has nurtured me to be more confident in myself and learn ways on how to persuade more of the sec1s to sign the paper and to be more curious about the cca

    1. I am proud that I managed to make a few batches of popcorn with my juniors

I was proud that all the sec 1s enjoyed it and that our CCA got complimented by all the teachers about how we made use of the space given. Since I’ve learnt my mistake from the planning for USAR, I will be able to make more use of the space for the USAR tunnel since there was some space left for me to use. I was able to speak more confidently in front of a lot of people and make more friends through this event as there were plenty of sec-1s who joined us and who aspired to become a warrant officer like me and my fellow leaders one day. As I got duty of managing the crowd, making sure everyone of the sec-1 has experienced every single booth we have set up became my duty, therefore although there were some hurdles along the way, I took up this opportunity and have developed a greater sense of responsibility.
