Columbus's state-sponsored explorations during the 15th century (funded by Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand) led to his discovery of the Americas (specifically Central and South America). 

Columbus's discovery of the Americas (the New World) crucially led to the introduction of plants, animals, and other goods (by Columbus and other European explorers), such as horses, pigs, sugar plants, weapons, etc. While various commodities were being introduced to the New World, various commodities from the New World, such as sugar, tobacco, potatoes, maize, etc. were being transferred/introduced to the Old World. These introductions/exchanges significantly impacted global agriculture, transformed indigenous societies, as well as their traditional ways of life and diets. 

However, the Columbian exchange had negative impacts as well. Columbus and Europeans bought deadly diseases and viruses to the New World, such as smallpox, measles, and influenza, which had a significant impact on indigenous societies/populations in the Americas. The lack of immunity/cures led to the rapid widespread of these diseases and viruses amongst indigenous societies in the Americas, resulting in many to lose their life. 

Overall, Columbus's voyages played a crucial role in developing the Columbus Exchange, which had both positive and negative impacts not only to the Americas but to the global world as well. Her ideas and writings challenge social norms and aimed for gender equality amongst men and women. Wollstonecraft was famously known for publishing "A Vindication of the Rights of Woman," in which she emphasized the importance of education for women, believing that women should receive the same education as men, ultimately allowing them to participate fully in society and further develop their personal and intellectual growth instead of depending on men. 

Moreover, by having logical reasoning in her works/arguments, her ideas challenge traditional gender roles and the lack of education and social opportunities which women faced. Wollstonecraft's contributions to feministic ideas and women's rights, resulted in influencing movements, such as the women's rights movements from 1940-1975 which aimed for equal rights, opportunities, and greater personal freedom for women.

Martin Luther’s actions and ideas implemented a movement that reshaped religious, social, and political views. Moreover, Luther’s main concern was the issue of salvation. Luther was famously known for his Ninety-Five Theses, which was posted on the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany. In the document, it aimed to point out the sale of indulgences, which were payments made to the church for the forgiveness of sins. The Theses called for a debate regarding questions of indulgences, as well as the corruption and abuses within the Catholic Church (e.g., simony, nepotism); this ultimately initiated Protestantism.

 

Luther’s ideas soon spread rapidly, allowing wider access to his writings. With Luther’s doctrine that salvation comes through faith in God’s grace and not through good works or practices/teachings of the church, Luther and his followers challenged the Catholic Church regarding their beliefs/practices. Moreover, with Luther’s translation of the Bible into the German language, it made it accessible to the common people, resulting in individuals' study of the Bible and personal relationship with God, which ultimately implemented Protestant ideas and teachings. With the rejection of papal authority and biblical authority, these factors became crucial to the Protestant movement. Furthermore, Luther’s teachings and writings led to the establishment of various Protestant denominations. 

 

Overall, Luther’s role remains significant to the Protestant Reformation, with his challenge to the Catholic Church (Ninety-Five Theses), doctrine of justification by faith alone, translation of the Bible, and rejection of papal authority.
